In this class we: will explore the basics for attaching items to fabric via stitching, explore composition/layout, be a little cutesy

Good for:

-playing around without restraint as there is no permanence in this type of design

-finding freedom in the silly little adornments

-making something you can use every day

Guaranteed offering: you’ll take away 1 superrr cute, one of a kind, hand decorated tote bag to carry through the streets of NY

The finer details
Each participant will peruse a large collection of charms, appliqué, tokens, beads, bows, ribbon, and vintage fixtures to affix to their own mini tote bag. If you want to bring a precious charm/button/token from your own collection, please do! I have sewn each attendee a mini tote from a variety of vintage/upcycled fabrics for you to choose from day of.

There will be brief instruction on: setting up fabric in an embroidery hoop, threading a needle, stitching an object to the fabric. We will spend the rest of our time hand stitching our trinkets to our tote bags, and chatting with our new pals.

Attendance
We invite you to come to this event solo, to talk to your neighbors, to make a new friend, and to return to the studio with regularity. Of course, you’re more than welcome to come with pals, the more the merrier. Class size will be limited to 20 people. Arrive up to 20 minutes early to get settled, introductions and instruction will begin promptly within 10 minutes of the class beginning.

Cancellation Policy
Tickets for our events are non-refundable/exchange-able! If you are no longer able to attend the event we kindly ask you let us know (so we know not to expect you). You are welcome to give your ticket to a friend, please send us an email to let us know about the switch up!

Photography Disclaimer
Photography/video will be minimal throughout the event and will focus on ‘working hands’ and ‘project progress’ rather than participant’s faces. At the beginning of our class we will make note if you do not wish to be included we will make note of and be mindful of your decision.

Accessibility
Please note that our building does not have elevator access on weekends and after 7pm on weekdays. There are 4 flights of stairs to climb to access our studio. If accessibility is a limitation please email me: contact@kellikikcio.com and we can discuss appropriate considerations :)
